Inspired by travel through Europe, China and Korea, visiting various street vendors and hawkers markets, Trailer Made is taking the food truck scene in Melbourne to another level. Trailer Made is the innovative answer to Melbourne’s insatiable demand for fresh, refined, street food with fast and responsive service. You will find Trailer Made on the streets in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne and at the summer music and food festivals.
Chef Casey Norman says, “The menu I have created is a real illustration of the skills I have learnt over the past 12 years, a collaboration of my favourite foods paying respect to the raw ingredients, natural flavours and local produce. Amy and I have put our heads together to come up with ideas for what we think is important for a business today. Biodegradable packaging, locally sourced menu and catering for vegans, vegos, meat eaters, coeliacs and the diversity of food lovers.”
Manager Amy says, “Casey and I feel a trailer best combines our love of travel and meeting new people. It will give us the ability to have a flexible menu adapting to local ingredients and varying cultural demands. The trailer allows us to serve a wide population of people without being weighted down.”
Melbourne is experiencing a food truck renaissance. Trailer Made will be show casing the amazing variety of ingredients we in Australia are fortunate to have access to. Using techniques at restaurant standard and presenting fast and fresh food in interesting ways, Amy and Casey can’t wait to share this new venture with the rest of Melbourne. Keep an eye out for the black and green trailer fit out with a display window to exhibit the craft in action.
